Celebrating 10 years of Ethnikids
NIROX Foundation and Ethnikids have had a long-standing, successful partnership since 2017.
Ethnikids is a women-owned online bookstore that specializes in inclusive and diverse children’s books in all official South African languages. The organisation aims to tackle the literacy challenge in South Africa by positioning reading as a leisurely, pleasurable activity and providing opportunities for children and families to engage with authors and storytelling.
Saturday 26 September offers a relaxed family day outdoors with hourly book readings from the very best local authors. The programme includes:
- Book signings by authors
- Children’s books available for purchase
- Book donations
Guests will be encouraged to share the love of literature by bringing pre-loved children’s books to donate and purchase for the support of Learn Project SA. We are grateful for the support of our transportation partner Tata Motors and activation partner Jonathan Ball Publishers.

All income is used to maintain the grounds, the artist residency programme, and artist support.

No food, drinks, pets, gazebos, cooler boxes or sporting equipment may be brought into the park. Entry and use of the facilities are entirely at your own risk. NIROX has no responsibility for injury or loss of any kind, howsoever arising. Children are their parent's responsibility.They must be under adult supervision at all times and respect the performance and experience of other patrons during the concert. Sculptures are not to be handled or played upon. The landscape is precious, treat it as such. No swimming is permitted. NIROX is an outdoor venue, subject to the weather. While every care is taken to ensure an enjoyable experience, a decision will be taken in the event of inclement weather on how to proceed. No refunds. Entry to the park constitutes agreement that images of visitors may be captured and published on social and other media by other visitors; and by NIROX.
