For the 5th instalment of DJ Bob Jazz Club at The Lawn Pavilion, DJ Bob flies solo for the day on Sunday 25 January 2026. Long known to love an extended set, DJ Bob has decided to kick off the new year playing all his favourite records for you with an 8 hour musical journey through his record collection spanning many genres, including but not limited to Traditional Jazz sounds, Latin Jazz, lots of South African Jazz, Afrobeat, Acid Jazz, Funk Jazz, Soul Jazz, Jazz Jazz, Ethiopian sounds, Cumbia, HiLife, Salsa and other Outernational Sounds with a good dose of Trip Hop and Jazzy Hip Hop thrown in, some Jazzy Drum and Bass sounds and a sprinkling of Breakbeat. Check out the musical odyssey by this maestro selector, come for the full day and bring the whole family. The needle drops at 10am until 6pm.
DJ Bob has been part of the music scene in SA since the early 90s and was behind the seminal club 206 Live in Orange Grove from 1993 to 2001. He spent 23 years doing the most at OppiKoppi and has been a regular at Bushfire Fest in Eswatini since 2008. Over the years he has produced shows, managed and booked artists and many stages, played Southern Africa and abroad and bought, sold and played thousands of records. He has been hosting DJ Bob Jazz Club for over 10 years now from Maputo to Cape Town, Mabopane to Soweto, Eswatini, Pretoria and Jozi.
