inaugurates an annual event
integrating diverse artistic disciplines
through the enrichment of nature.
This year we focus on the fusion of fashion and the arts…
acknowledging and interrogating the values of self-adornment and beautification.
*Audience participation is crucial. Dress in sympathy with nature in white and natural tones*
Designers, performers and visual artists collaborate without boundaries;
presenting images, garments, sounds, movement and installations throughout the Sculpture Park.
Culminating in an early evening catwalk in the amphitheater to the sound of the Grand Piano and strings of the Joburg Philharmonic,
as the sun sets behind towering trees and the surrounding hills of the Cradle of Humankind,
humanity’s ancestral home..
The audience is encouraged to join in –
sharing their own fashion statements –
re-discovering the ‘hidden artist within’ –
together transforming the Park to a breathing reflection of contemporary aesthetics
and the positive possibilities of life.
A renewal of Africa’s cultural abundance…
