 T A BURIAL\, IT'S A RESURRECTION. </p><p><br></p><p>NIROX\, in partnership
  with URUCU\, brings you a pre-release screening of the multi-award winnin
 g Basotho film <em>This Is Not A Burial\, It’s A Resurrection\, </em>wri
 tten and directed by Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese.</p><p><em> </em></p><p><em
 >Amongst the pythonic mountains of land-locked Lesotho\, an 80 year old wi
 dow winds up her earthly affairs\, makes arrangements for her burial and p
 repares to die. But when her village is threatened with forced resettlemen
 t due to the construction of a resevoir\, she finds a new will to live and
  ignites a collective spirit of resilience within her community. In the fi
 nal dramatic moments of her life\, Mantoa’s legend is forged and made et
 ernal.</em></p><p> </p><p><em>This Is Not A Burial\, It’s A Resurrectio
 n </em>stars the late screen and theatre legend Mary Twala Mhlongo in her 
 swansong performance. It is the first film from Lesotho\, made by a Mosoth
 o director to be showcased internationally. It served as Lesotho’s first
 -ever entry to both the Oscars and the Golden Globes in 2020 and has to da
 te won 27 international awards.</p><p> </p><p>The film was born at NIROX 
 in 2017\, when it participated in the Realness African Screenwriter’s Re
 sidency. The residency\, founded in 2015 by the Realness Institute\, has f
 ostered 36 feature film projects from 16 African countries. NIROX has serv
 ed as the artistic incubator and home away from home for these filmmakers 
 for the 5 editions of the residency.</p><p> </p><p>Leading up to the film
 ’s national release on 21 May\, an exclusive pre-release screening of <e
 m>This Is Not A Burial\, It’s A Resurrection </em>will take place on 15 
 March at its place of inception\; NIROX. Crew and cast members will be in 
 attendance and a Q&A will follow the screening.</p><p> </p><p>The screeni
 ng will begin promptly at 3pm and we kindly ask that everyone is seated by
  2:45pm.</p><p> </p><h2>There will be no charge to see the film\, only th
 e standard NIROX entry fee of R120 per adult. There will be a donation sta
 tion in the park and proceeds will go towards supporting of the continued 
 work done through the Realness African Screenwriter’s Residency\, as it 
 fosters a new wave of African cinema.</h2><p>__________</p><p><br></p><p><

  the adjoining <strong><em>Tapas Café</em></strong><em> </em>and</p><p>ra
